PLACES OF INTEREST IN THE AREA
William Shakespeare Nestling in the heart of Shakespeare's Warwickshire, Rugby holds the unique position as the birthplace of Rugby Football and as you would expect, many of its attractions stir the passions of the rugby enthusiast. There is, however, much more to Rugby than rugby ..... Rugby is easy to reach by road, rail and even canal, situated 30 minutes from Birmingham and only one hour by rail from London.

Rugby is so ideally situated that is also makes a good touring base. Its central location means that you can easily explore nearby attractions such as Stratford upon Avon, Warwick, Royal Leamington Spa and Stanford Hall, together with the historic castles of Warwick and Kenilworth and Althorp House, childhood home of the late Diana, Princess of Wales.
