THE ANN CONROY TRUST

ABOUT ACT

The Ann Conroy Trust (ACT) was established in 1980 by Ann Conroy, a Syringomyelia victim, to help fellow sufferers and their carers and to fund research, carried out at that time by the late Berhard Williams FRCS, into the condition of Syringomyelia and it's associated disorders.

The Charity is the only organisation in the UK providing educational material about Syringomyelia. It funds research work and provides a national helpline and support network which includes qualified support counsellors and Syringomyelia Specialist Nurses for sufferers and their carers. A national branch network putting sufferers in touch with each other is expanding across the United Kingdom.

The Ann Conroy Trust sees the dissemination of knowledge about these conditions amongst health professionals as one of their principle aims. www.theannconroytrust.org.uk
